A comforting Chicken Parmesan Casserole that can be whipped up in just 30 minutes, featuring tender chicken, gooey cheese, and zesty marinara.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 sleeve of Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Season the diced chicken with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Layer half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a prepared baking dish.
  5. Add the cooked chicken on top, followed by half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  6. Spoon the remaining marinara over the chicken.
  7. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
  8. Finish with the Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs for that crispy topping.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Consider using leftover chicken from a rotisserie chicken for convenience.
