A delightful cheesy breakfast casserole with layers of sausage, eggs, and tater tots, perfect for brunch gatherings.

  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the breakfast sausage until fully cooked, draining any excess grease.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Spread the cooked sausage on the bottom of the prepared dish and top with 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  5. Arrange the frozen tater tots evenly over the sausage and cheese layer.
  6. Pour the egg mixture evenly over everything in the dish.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top of the casserole.
  8. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes, or until the eggs are set and tater tots are golden.
  9. Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
