A quick and healthy take on the classic Chicken Parmesan, made in the air fryer for a crispy and cheesy delight.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated on all sides.
  4. Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Cook them for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the chicken from the air fryer and top each breast with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return the chicken to the air fryer for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, pound chicken breasts to an even thickness. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
