  • 2 large eggs
  • Salted butter (spreadable and at room temperature)
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Make the wells: Using a sturdy glass, gently press down in the center of each bread slice to create a well.
  2. Butter the bread: Spread a generous layer of salted butter on both slices.
  3. Prepare the air fryer: Place the air fryer rack into the basket and lightly spray it with oil.
  4. Crack the eggs: Crack each egg into a small dish.
  5. Fill the indentations: Carefully pour an egg into the well of each slice of bread.
  6. Season: Sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
  7. Air fry: Cook at 375℉ for 6 minutes, adding extra time for a firmer yolk.
  8. Serve: Gently remove the toast with a spatula and enjoy!
