Delightful bite-sized French toast pieces made in the air fryer, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices bread (cut into cubes)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Start by cracking the 3 large eggs into a large bowl. Add in the 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup milk, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt. Whisk everything until well combined.
  2. Cut your bread into bite-sized cubes, then gently toss these into the egg mixture until they’re evenly coated.
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray. Make sure to arrange the bread cubes in a single layer without overlapping.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Once ready, air fry the bites for about 8-10 minutes. Don’t forget to shake the basket halfway through to ensure they crisp up evenly!
  5. Once they are golden brown and crispy, take them out of the air fryer, adding any desired toppings, and enjoy!

Notes

Use day-old bread for better absorption of the custard mixture. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for even cooking. Experiment with different spices for unique flavors.
