Delicious bite-sized apple fritters, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 apple, peeled and diced
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and granulated sugar until well blended.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract together until frothy and fully combined.
  3. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring just until mixed—careful not to over-mix.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apple, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  5. In a deep pan, heat your oil until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, frying them for about 3-4 minutes or until they turn a beautiful golden brown.
  7. Carefully remove the fritters and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  8. Before serving, dust generously with powdered sugar.

Notes

Serve warm with a side of caramel sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Avoid microwaving leftovers to retain crispiness.
