A delightful sourdough bread that combines tangy flavors with sweet blueberries and creamy goat cheese, perfect for brunch or dinner gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 500g all-purpose flour
  • 350ml water
  • 100g sourdough starter
  • 10g salt
  • 150g fresh blueberries
  • 100g goat cheese, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and water until no dry flour remains. Allow the mixture to rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Stir in the sourdough starter, salt, and honey (if using). Gently fold in blueberries and goat cheese.
  3. Cover and let the dough ferment at room temperature for 4-6 hours, folding it gently every hour.
  4. Shape the dough into a round loaf and proof in a floured basket for 1-2 hours.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
  6. Transfer the dough to the hot Dutch oven, cover it, and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Allow the bread to cool before slicing.
