Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 68 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or cooking spray)
  • 1 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1 tsp black pepper (freshly cracked if possible)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or your favorite dried herb mix)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
  3. If needed, pound the chicken to an even thickness using a meat mallet.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Brush both sides of the chicken breasts with olive oil.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  7. Evenly distribute the seasoning mix over both sides of the chicken.
  8. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
  9. Bake in the oven for 18–22 minutes, checking the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  10. Once done, let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate your chicken breasts in the seasoning mix for at least 30 minutes. Cover the chicken with foil for the first 10 minutes of baking to keep it juicy.
