A delightful dish featuring chicken covered in crispy breadcrumbs, rich marinara sauce, and bubbling mozzarella, perfect for any occasion.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix until well combined.
  3. Coat each chicken breast thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Place the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Bake the chicken in your preheated oven for about 20 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven and generously spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast.
  7. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Serve hot, ideally alongside pasta or a fresh side salad.

Notes

Allow the dish to cool before storing. It lasts up to three days in the fridge and three months in the freezer. Reheat at 350°F (175°C).
