Delicious Baked Ham and Cheese Croissants filled with melted cheddar and tender ham, perfect for brunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 mini croissants
  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (halved)
  • ¾ pound deli-cut ham
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg white
  • Poppy seeds (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice each croissant in half horizontally and place a half slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom.
  3. Add a slice of ham and then another half slice of cheese before closing the croissant with the top half.
  4. Combine the softened butter, yellow mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl until smooth.
  5. Spread the butter mixture evenly inside each croissant sandwich.
  6. Arrange the croissant sandwiches in the greased baking dish.
  7. Whisk together the egg white with a splash of water in another bowl. Brush this egg wash on the tops, then sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Notes

For additional flavor, try adding garlic powder or fresh herbs to the butter mixture. You can also experiment with different types of cheese like mozzarella or Gruyere.
