A quick and flavorful Cajun shrimp dish with a creamy sauce that pairs perfectly with pasta or rice.

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked pasta or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and bell pepper; sauté until softened, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add shrimp and Cajun seasoning; cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in diced tomatoes and heavy cream; stir to combine.
  6. Let the sauce simmer gently for 5-10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the shrimp and sauce over cooked pasta or rice.

Notes

For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne or chopped fresh jalapeño. Adjust seasoning as needed based on your Cajun blend’s salt content.
