Delightful caramelized bananas that transform ripe fruit into a sweet, indulgent treat, perfect for dessert or breakfast toppings.

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Begin by peeling the bananas and slicing them into thick rounds.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced bananas to the skillet. Sauté gently for about 2 minutes on each side until they’re beautifully golden brown.
  4. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar (if desired) over the bananas. Stir gently to coat, and cook for another minute to let the flavors meld together.
  5. Remove from heat and allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days. Reheat gently.
