  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts evenly with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s well covered.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving, if desired.

Notes
