  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the sour cream, shredded cheese, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until well blended.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Sear them in the skillet for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the seared chicken breasts to a baking dish and generously spread the creamy mixture over the top of each breast.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in olive oil, garlic powder, and oregano for about an hour before cooking.
