A classic comfort dish featuring crispy breaded chicken, rich marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season each chicken breast generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Dredge the chicken thoroughly in flour, ensuring an even coat.
  4. Dip the flour-coated chicken into the beaten eggs, letting any excess drip off.
  5. Press the chicken into the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture to coat it well.
  6. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded chicken until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Place the fried chicken in a baking dish. Cover it with marinara sauce and sprinkle shredded mozzarella generously on top.
  8. Bake in the heated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Serve hot, paired with pasta or a fresh salad for a delightful meal.
