A comforting and delicious Chicken Parmesan recipe featuring crispy chicken breasts topped with marinara sauce and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1.5 cups shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • To taste: salt and pepper
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper for flavor.
  3. Dredge each piece in flour, shaking off the excess to ensure an even coating.
  4. Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs, covering entirely.
  5. Roll the chicken in the Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs, making sure each piece is well-coated.
  6. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over each piece and generously top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the chicken is cooked through.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving hot.
