A delightful Chicken Parmesan recipe featuring crispy chicken breasts, savory marinara, and gooey cheese that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or impressing guests.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet or rolling pin.
  3. Beat the eggs in a bowl. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the coated chicken until it’s golden brown on both sides.
  6. Transfer the fried chicken to a baking dish. Top generously with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella.
  7. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For extra crispy crust, double-coat the chicken by dipping back into egg and breadcrumbs. Experiment with fresh herbs for a personalized touch.
