A classic Italian-American dish featuring golden-brown chicken, melted cheese, and rich marinara sauce. Perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Generously season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Create a breading station: one plate with flour, another with beaten eggs, and a third with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, coating evenly.
  5. Dip the floured chicken into the egg, letting any excess drip off, and then coat thoroughly with the breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry each chicken breast for about 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  7. Place the fried chicken into a baking dish. Cover each piece with marinara sauce and sprinkle generously with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Leftover Chicken Parmesan can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
