A comforting and homemade Chicken Parmesan recipe, perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for frying
  • Cooked pasta for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, crack the eggs and beat them. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese together.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, ensuring it’s well-coated. Then dredge it in the breadcrumb mixture, making sure it’s fully covered.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Arrange the chicken in a baking dish. Top each piece with marinara sauce and a generous amount of mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Serve the Chicken Parmesan on a bed of cooked pasta. Enjoy!

Notes

For an extra boost of flavor, marinate your chicken in Italian seasoning or garlic before breading. Use a meat mallet to pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for even cooking.
