A delightful casserole combining tender chicken, creamy cheeses, and flavorful pasta, all baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked pasta (like penne or rotini)
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add the pasta and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Cook the chicken if not cooked yet. Allow it to cool before shredding into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Mix the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired before serving.

Notes

Feel free to swap in your favorite pasta or use leftover chicken. For an extra cheesy crust, consider browning the cheese under the broiler for a minute or two at the end.
