A delightful blend of tender chicken, gooey melted cheese, and pasta smothered in rich marinara sauce, perfect for weeknight dining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta (any type)
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked through. Remove from the skillet and slice into strips.
  3. Pour in the marinara sauce and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken, stirring until well combined.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top, then cover the skillet. Let it cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and gooey.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve hot.

Notes

For a lighter version, use whole wheat pasta or zucchini noodles. Add vegetables for extra nutrition or red pepper flakes for spice.
