A comforting and creamy pasta dish featuring chicken, crispy bacon, and a rich cream sauce, perfect for weeknights or entertaining.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 4 strips of bacon, chopped
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the penne according to the package instructions. Once done, drain it and set aside.
  2. Crisp the bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon. Fry until crispy, then remove the bacon and set it aside, leaving the grease in the pan.
  3. Sauté the chicken: In the same skillet, add the diced chicken. Cook until it’s no longer pink. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Make the creamy sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer gently. Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until it melts and forms a creamy, delicious sauce.
  5. Combine everything: Toss the cooked penne pasta into the skillet and mix it well, ensuring the pasta is fully coated in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
  6. Serve and garnish: Plate the pasta, topping it with the crispy bacon and a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a burst of color and taste.

Notes

For a lighter option, feel free to use turkey bacon or substitute half of the heavy cream with chicken broth. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
