Delicious chicken shawarma wraps filled with marinated chicken, fresh veggies, and creamy sauces, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 flatbreads or pita wraps
  • Toppings (e.g., cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, tahini sauce, hummus)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the sliced chicken to the bowl. Toss until every piece is coated in the marinade.
  3. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes. For the best flavor, refrigerate and let it marinate overnight.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the marinated chicken for 6-8 minutes, or until fully cooked through.
  6. Once done, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
  7. Lay out the flatbreads or pita wraps on a flat surface. Add the cooked chicken and your desired toppings.
  8. Roll up the wraps tightly and serve immediately.

Notes

Marinating overnight enhances the flavor and tenderness of the chicken. For a vegetarian option, replace chicken with tofu or chickpeas.
