A vibrant and flavorful dish featuring tender flank steak, crisp bell peppers, and a savory sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly
  • 1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate the thinly sliced flank steak in a bowl with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated steak, spread in a single layer, and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and bell peppers; stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  5. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.
  6. Return the browned steak to the skillet, pour in the beef broth, and stir to combine.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly, and ensuring everything is heated through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve hot over a bed of steamed rice and enjoy!

Notes

For added crunch, consider adding snap peas or broccoli. Allow the steak to marinate fully for best flavor.
