A nutritious and delightful breakfast bowl combining quinoa, apples, and cinnamon, perfect for busy mornings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups almond milk (or any dairy-free milk)
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1/4 cup raisins or nuts (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water to remove any bitterness.
  2. Combine the rinsed quinoa, almond milk, and a pinch of salt in a medium saucepan.
  3. Bring this mixture to a boil.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for about 15 minutes, until the quinoa is fluffy and the liquid has been absorbed.
  5. Stir in the diced apple, cinnamon, and maple syrup for added sweetness.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the apple is slightly softened.
  7. Serve warm, optionally topping with raisins or nuts for added texture.

Notes

Don’t skip rinsing the quinoa to avoid bitterness. Adjust cinnamon and maple syrup to taste. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
