Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  3. In another bowl, mix the egg yolks with the softened cream cheese, honey (if using), and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  4. Gently fold the stiff egg whites into the yolk mixture in three additions.
  5. Scoop the mixture onto the lined baking sheet in 6 equal rounds.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and set. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Ensure mixing bowls are clean when whipping egg whites. Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing and do not skip the cream of tartar.
