A juicy burger with maple bourbon BBQ sauce, crispy bacon, and sweet caramelized onions for a delightful meal.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 strips of bacon
  • 1/2 cup maple bourbon barbecue sauce
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, for garnish
  • Tomato slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the sliced onions and cook until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the bacon in another pan until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  3. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper, form into patties, and cook in a skillet or on the grill for about 5-6 minutes on each side.
  4. In the last minute of cooking, brush each patty with the maple bourbon BBQ sauce.
  5. Toast the burger buns until golden brown.
  6. Assemble each burger with a patty, caramelized onions, crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato slices.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
