This cookie dough cottage cheese mousse is a creamy, no-bake dessert that tastes indulgent but is secretly packed with protein. Made with simple ingredients, it’s smooth, sweet, and ready in just 5 minutes. Perfect for a healthy snack, dessert, or post-workout treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese

  • 1 tbsp almond butter (or peanut/cashew butter)

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup (or honey)

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp vanilla protein powder (or unflavored)

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • 12 tbsp mini chocolate chips

Instructions

Step 1 – Combine Ingredients
Add cottage cheese, nut butter, maple syrup, vanilla, protein powder, and sea salt to a blender or food processor.

Step 2 – Blend Until Smooth
Blend on high speed until completely smooth and creamy (about 30–60 seconds). Scrape down the sides if needed.

Step 3 – Adjust Flavor
Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or salt to your preference.

Step 4 – Add Mix-ins
Stir in mini chocolate chips by hand.

Step 5 – Serve and Chill
Spoon into jars or bowls. Eat immediately or chill for 30 minutes for a thicker mousse texture.

Notes

  • For thicker mousse, use full-fat cottage cheese.

  • For a vegan option, swap cottage cheese with unsweetened almond yogurt and use plant-based protein.

  • Store in airtight containers for up to 3 days in the fridge.

  • Freeze in silicone molds for up to 1 month; thaw before serving.
