A comforting and creamy chicken dish with rich garlic flavors, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 2 lbs.)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup low sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 7-8 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the thighs and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter, letting it melt completely.
  6. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Slowly pour in chicken broth, stirring and scraping any brown bits stuck to the pan.
  8. Stir in heavy cream and let sauce simmer for a couple of minutes until it thickens slightly.
  9. Add parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth.
  10. Return chicken thighs to the skillet, coating them in the creamy sauce. Let simmer for another 5 minutes.
  11. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or a non-dairy alternative.
