A comforting dish of juicy chicken breasts in a rich garlic Parmesan sauce, ready in under 30 minutes.

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them for even thickness.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add seasoned chicken.
  4. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  5. Lower heat, add butter to the skillet, and melt before adding minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and stir to deglaze the skillet, scraping up brown bits.
  7. Gradually add Parmesan cheese and allow it to simmer until sauce thickens.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet, simmering for 2-3 minutes in the sauce.

Notes

Serve over pasta or mashed potatoes; great with steamed veggies or salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
