A rich and flavorful creamy garlic Parmesan chicken breast recipe that’s perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. Reduce heat, add butter and minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to deglaze the skillet and scrape any bits from the chicken. Add the grated Parmesan and let the sauce simmer until thickened.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes or with a side salad. For a twist, try using different cheeses or adding veggies like spinach or sun-dried tomatoes.
