A comforting and nutritious oatmeal breakfast bowl topped with banana and blueberries.

  • 2 cups milk or water
  • 1 ripe banana, sliced
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • Sweetener to taste (honey, maple syrup, etc.)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings (nuts, seeds, yogurt)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the rolled oats, milk (or water), and a pinch of salt.
  2. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a simmer. Cook for about 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats become creamy and are cooked through.
  4. Remove from heat. Sweeten your oatmeal to taste with honey or maple syrup.
  5. Divide the creamy oatmeal into bowls. Top generously with banana slices and blueberries.
  6. For extra indulgence, add any additional toppings such as nuts, seeds, or a dollop of yogurt.

Notes

Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat and add a splash of water or milk if it thickens.
