A delightful chicken dish coated in a luxurious cream sauce infused with white wine, garlic, and sautéed mushrooms, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
  3. Pour in the white wine, scraping the skillet to deglaze it. Let simmer for a few minutes to reduce.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and cook until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat in the creamy sauce.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, substitute white wine with chicken broth. For a lighter sauce, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
