Juicy chicken breasts slathered in marinara sauce, topped with melty mozzarella, and baked to crispy perfection.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Coat each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down for an even layer.
  4. Arrange the coated chicken breasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Spoon marinara sauce over each chicken breast and sprinkle generously with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

For an even crispier texture, use panko breadcrumbs or substitute marinara with barbecue sauce.
