A classic Italian dish featuring juicy chicken breasts coated in crispy breadcrumbs, topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine in a medium bowl the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they’re well-coated.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over each piece, then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy your Crispy Chicken Parmesan!

Notes

For extra crunch, double-dip the chicken in egg, then flour, and then breadcrumbs. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
