A delightful and easy recipe featuring chicken breasts coated in a crispy mixture of Parmesan and seasoned breadcrumbs, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or giving it a light grease.
  2. Whisk together the egg and milk in a shallow dish until combined and slightly frothy.
  3. Mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, paprika, salt, and black pepper in another shallow dish.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the egg mixture, coating both sides completely. Then, press firmly into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even crust forms.
  5. Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking oil spray for an extra crunch.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with sides like arugula salad, garlic sautéed green beans, or classic spaghetti marinara. Storing leftovers in an airtight container keeps them fresh for up to 3 days.
