Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1.5 cups Chicken Broth
  • 3 Tablespoons All Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.33 cup Sun Dried Tomatoes (drained)
  • 2 Tablespoons Salted Butter
  • Fresh Basil (optional for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the chicken breasts and brown them for 2-3 minutes per side until they’re golden and lovely.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the chicken broth and flour until smooth.
  4. Pour this mixture into your crockpot and add the minced garlic, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Mix gently to combine everything.
  5. Place the browned chicken breasts on top of the mixture. Scatter the sun-dried tomatoes over the chicken and dollop the butter on top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-3.5 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  7. In the last hour of cooking (or 30 minutes if cooking on high), stir in the heavy whipping cream for a rich finish.
  8. Serve warm over pasta, garnished with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

Notes

Browning the chicken adds flavor and improves the dish’s appearance. Adjust spices to your family’s preferences.
