A comforting and savory dish made with flaky croissants, deli meats, and melted cheese, perfect for brunch or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 68 Croissants (cut into halves or thirds)
  • 1012 slices deli meat (ham, prosciutto, turkey breast, salami)
  • 34 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary
  • 810 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting your croissants into thirds; this helps them soak up all those wonderful flavors.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk (or cream), salt, garlic salt, pepper, and fresh rosemary until combined.
  3. Carefully dunk the croissant pieces into the milk mixture. Don’t let them get too soggy—just enough for them to soak in the flavors!
  4. Lay the dipped croissants into a greased baking dish, filling in all the gaps as you go.
  5. Nestle slices of your choice of deli meat and cheese between the croissant layers.
  6. Next, in another bowl, mix together the honey, melted butter, and chopped fresh herbs to create a lovely glaze.
  7. Drizzle the honey butter mixture over the assembled dish to add sweetness.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese melts and everything is golden brown. Halfway through, baste with the honey butter for an extra touch of sweetness.

Notes

Use day-old croissants for the best results. Feel free to experiment with herbs for a unique twist.
