  • 1 ripe avocado (or a handful of cherry tomatoes)
  • 2 tablespoons of nut butter or hummus
  • A handful of spinach or arugula
  • Olive oil (extra virgin for drizzling)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Optional toppings: seeds, nuts, or herbs of your choice

Instructions

  1. Slice the sourdough bread into thick slices, about 1 inch each.
  2. Toast the slices until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  3. While the bread is toasting, prepare your toppings. Mash the avocado or blend nut butter with sea salt.
  4. Once the bread is toasted, spread your chosen topping evenly on each slice.
