  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese until well mixed.
  3. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  5. Coat the chicken with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure it sticks.
  6. Place the breaded chicken on a baking sheet. Drizzle lightly with olive oil for crispiness.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove from the oven and top each breast with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  9. Return to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly, approximately 5-7 minutes.
