A simple and flavorful baked chicken dish with a delicious honey Dijon sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme, optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, apple cider vinegar (if using), garlic powder, and onion powder until you have a smooth mixture.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the honey Dijon sauce, making sure each piece is generously coated. Place the coated chicken breasts in a baking dish.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the juices run clear. For a nice golden edge, broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with your choice of fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least an hour before baking. To avoid dryness, do not overcook the chicken; use a meat thermometer to ensure it reaches 165°F.
