A delicious and versatile breakfast quiche filled with eggs, cheese, and your favorite ingredients, perfect for brunch or quick meals.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk or heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon, sausage, or ham (optional)
  • 1 cup chopped vegetables (bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms, onions, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for sautéing vegetables)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (thyme, oregano, or basil, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust by fitting it into a 9-inch pie dish and trimming any excess. If necessary, pre-bake the crust according to package instructions.
  3. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté your chosen vegetables until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Allow them to cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, salt, pepper, and dried herbs (if using).
  5. Spread the cooked vegetables and/or meat evenly across the pie crust. Add a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top. Then pour the egg mixture over everything.
  6. Bake for 35-45 minutes until the center is set and lightly golden on top. A knife inserted into the quiche should come out clean.
  7. Let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Pair with a side salad or fresh fruit for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
