A simple yet elegant dish that features chicken enveloped in a rich, creamy sauce with mushrooms and garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add them to the skillet and cook for 7-8 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Sauté until the mushrooms are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet, stirring to combine with mushrooms and garlic. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.
  5. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, ensuring they are well-coated with the creamy sauce.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to warm everything through.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half. You can also use chicken thighs for a juicier flavor.
