A delicious and simple Chicken Parmesan recipe that brings together crispy chicken, savory tomato sauce, and gooey melted cheese.

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups garlicky tomato sauce
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Generously season each chicken breast with salt and pepper to enhance their flavor.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix breadcrumbs with grated Parmesan cheese, combining the two well.
  4. Dip each seasoned chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently so the crumbs stick nicely.
  5. Arrange the breaded chicken on a baking sheet and drizzle lightly with olive oil.
  6. Bake in your preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is golden and thoroughly cooked.
  7. Once baked, remove the chicken from the oven. Top each breast with garlicky tomato sauce and a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for a few more minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles up beautifully.
  9. Finally, garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
