A delightful dish featuring crispy breaded chicken, rich marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  2. Mix together the breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in a separate bowl.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  4. Dredge the seasoned chicken in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Cook the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  6. Pour marinara sauce over the chicken, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes.
