A simple, no-fuss recipe that transforms overripe bananas into a delicious treat perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg (beaten)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  3. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth with a fork.
  4. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  5. Add in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is blended evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir gently to combine.
  7. Gently fold in the flour, mixing just until you no longer see dry flour—avoid overmixing for best results.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  9. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, testing with a toothpick inserted in the center. If it comes out clean, it’s done!
  10. Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Use overripe bananas for maximum flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to avoid a dense loaf.
