Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces skinless chicken breasts or thighs, boneless
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken stock, warm
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Caramelized onions, for garnish
  • Shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese, optional topping

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken dry and lightly season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika. Allow it to rest for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat, then add the minced garlic and sauté for 30-45 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the warm chicken stock and honey, stirring until the sauce achieves a glossy finish.
  4. Carefully add the seasoned chicken to the pan and sear each side for about 4-6 minutes, until golden brown.
  5. Continuously spoon the sauce over the chicken as it cooks.
  6. Once cooked through, remove the pan from heat and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and chopped parsley.
  7. Serve warm, drizzling any remaining sauce over the chicken.

Notes

For added richness, consider topping the chicken with cheese or caramelized onions.
