A delightful twist on classic cheeseburgers, these rollups feature savory beef and gooey cheese wrapped in flaky dough, brushed with luscious garlic butter.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can roll-up dough (e.g., crescent roll dough)
  • 4 slices cheese (e.g., cheddar or American)
  • 1 onion, chopped (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven according to the roll-up dough packaging instructions.
  2. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about one minute.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Season it with salt and pepper, and cook until it’s browned. If using onion, add it at this stage and sauté until translucent.
  4. Roll out the dough on a baking sheet and cut it into rectangles, roughly three inches by four inches.
  5. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture and a slice of cheese on each rectangle, then roll up tightly.
  6. Brush the tops with the remaining melted garlic butter.
  7. Bake according to the dough package instructions, or until golden brown—around 12-15 minutes.
  8. Let the rollups cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These rollups are great with a fresh side salad or crispy fries. For dipping, serve with ketchup, mustard, or spicy aioli.
