A flavorful and satisfying chicken dish featuring a rich garlic butter sauce that is perfect for both everyday meals and special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts (pounded to an even thickness, about 4 average-sized breasts)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons 21 Salute Seasoning or poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth (or as necessary)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (or more if you want extra sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic (finely minced; or to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons fresh parsley (optional for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the olive oil.
  2. Add the pounded chicken breasts to the skillet, seasoning them evenly with the 21 Salute, salt, and pepper.
  3. Let the chicken sear without touching it for about 5 minutes until it forms a medium golden crust.
  4. Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until completely cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet using a slotted spatula and allow it to rest on a plate.
  6. Carefully deglaze the skillet by pouring in the white wine (or broth) and letting it bubble up and steam for several seconds.
  7. Add the unsalted butter, stirring continuously until melted—about 1 minute.
  8. Stir in the minced garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  9. Turn off the heat, return the chicken to the skillet, and toss it in the garlic butter sauce.
  10. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and optionally garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Pound the chicken to an even thickness for even cooking. Adjust garlic to taste.
