A comforting and healthy breakfast dish featuring warm apples and a crunchy oat topping, perfect for busy mornings and family brunches.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1/2 cup of nuts (e.g., walnuts or almonds)
  • Yogurt or milk for serving
  • Ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Add the sliced apples to a mixing bowl. Sprinkle in the cinnamon and drizzle with honey, mixing until the apples are well-coated.
  3. Combine the oats and nuts in another bowl.
  4. Spread the apple mixture evenly in a baking dish and then top it off with the oat-nut mixture.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm with yogurt or milk, or indulge with a scoop of ice cream.
